I was honestly surprised by how much I liked this pump. I’ve gone through a few SUP pumps over the years, and most of them either take forever or get way too hot. This one is noticeably faster. The dual-stage inflation actually works-turbo mode gets the board puffed up quickly, and then it switches over to the slower, high-pressure mode to finish things off without feeling like it’s struggling. Hitting 15-20 PSI doesn’t take an eternity, which is a win in my book.

The fact that it comes with seven nozzles is super handy. I grabbed it mainly for paddle boards, but it ended up being useful for way more-kayaks, an old inflatable raft, even an air mattress when we were camping. Nice to have one pump that just works with everything instead of digging around for adapters.
Using it is pretty much foolproof. Plug it into the car, set the PSI with the buttons, and the LCD screen tells you where you’re at. It shuts off automatically when it hits the target pressure, so no babysitting and no chance of overdoing it. The deflate mode is faster than I expected, which made packing up at the end of the day a lot easier.
I also like that the cord and accessories actually store neatly inside the built-in compartment-no more random hoses rolling around the trunk. The handle makes it easy to carry, and it doesn’t feel bulky.
Here is a tip: want to make this portable so you don’t have to inflate it at your car? If you use Ryobi too, get this tool that allows you to use your Ryobi batteries as a portable cigarette adapter power source. Search for Ryobi 18v cigarette to find the tool. I added a picture of it to my review. I assume other brands of tool batteries can be converted with similar tools.
Overall, it’s a solid, reliable pump that saves time and effort. If you’re inflating paddle boards regularly, this one is worth having in the car.

Good features

Our other paddle board broke. We realized that it overheated or had a short because it even blew a fuse in the car. I was a little worried about getting another one that has to use the car but thought I would give it a try again. It was a good move. This has the features we wanted. It has a great display, stores the cord inside. We need to make sure we give it a break every so often cause I don’t want to overdo it again. Noise wise it’s pretty much similar to other pumps. I appreciate having a handle on it because these can be hard to handle while you’re also trying to handle an inflating paddle board at the same time. Great item.

Good quality and convenient, high power, does the job quickly.

This is the 2nd portable pump I have purchased in the last year. The first was a little smaller and really intended for a paddle board. However, it was awful!! it shut off as soon as any pressure was detected and needed to be restarted a few times to get to the required 15PSI for the item we were inflating, a paddle board, It took about 20 minutes ! At $99, the price was the same as this Etenwolf pump. This little Etenwolf pump is powerful!! I suppose it’s not really little, but it is really neat and tidy. The power cord hides away in the top compartment to keep from tangling. it plugs into the DC outlet in your car or truck and, with the turbo setting, can inflate your boat or paddle board in minutes without overheating….however, your should probably keep the car engine running while inflating or you risk running your battery down. We found out the hard way. It has a generous hose with 7 different connectors conveniently attached, so no chance of losing them, and whatever your inflatable connection is, one of these will surely fit! Once you find the correct connector, plug the hose into the inflate port (there is also a deflate port to suck as much air out of your inflatable as possible before packing it away), set the pressure you need to achieve….the minimum is 1.5min psi, the item you are trying to inflate will likely have the correct pressure setting instructions, be sure to check to avoid overinflation. Anyway…where was I, oh yes, set the desired PSI (or BAR or KPA, whichever measure you choose to use, it supports all 3), then turn it on and wait until it stops at the correct pressure. It does have an internal temperature sensor which will shut the unit off if it gets too hot. I recommend inflating out of direct sun to avoid overheating, maybe choose the shady side of your car or truck. It has a large display which is really nice to check your progress, and the carrying handle is a plus. If you don’t overheat it by using in direct sun, or run your car battery dead by not running the engine while using the pump, you can inflate several items in a row with no break. Daughter has a paddle board, that inflated in about 5 minutes, Son and his GF have a 2 man kayak which he insisted on inflating the hard way, and we also have a 2 man kayak which inflated completely in under 10 minutes …not exactly sure how long it was since we were distracted by helping him with the manual pump, and then realized ours had shut off because it was done (we offered to finish inflating his) and we were also chasing daughter’s 3 year old son around too…so that was a lovely distraction. Bottom line – this works well, quickly, accurately, stores neatly, and we can inflate all 3 watercraft and get down to having some serious fun on the water quickly. We can also deflate all 3 watercraft quickly and almost completely so they pack up easily when we’re done for the day….although who doesn’t like rolling around on a deflated kayak to get as much air out as possible?

Pumps up my paddleboard really quickly

This pump seems to be of good quality and it does pump things up fairly quickly. I definitely beats the hand pump that came with my paddleboard, it airs the board up faster and with a lot less effort on my part. It is louder than I expected but not extremely so, I’d say it makes less noise than my cordless tire inflator does. This pump is very easy to set up and use and it includes multiple nozzles for inflating all sorts of items. It works great for paddleboards and inflatable kayaks. The pressure gauge of this pump is a little off when compared to the gauge that came with my paddleboard, though I can’t say which is truly off and it’s only about a 1.5psi difference. Overall I’d say I’m very satisfied with the quality and functionality of this pump. I really like it and it has been working out great for me.

I’ve got a few outings with this pump now, and have some thoughts. Before this, I was using a manual hand pump to inflate my stand up paddle board, which would take 15 to 20 minutes of exhausting work and leave me worn out before I even hit the water. The S4 has cut that time down to around 4 minutes with virtually zero effort on my part. The dual-stage inflation system is genuinely impressive. It starts with a turbo boost mode that rapidly fills the board from empty to 1 PSI at 600 liters per minute, then automatically transitions to the high-pressure stage that takes it from 1 PSI up to my target of 15 PSI at a slower but steady 70 liters per minute. The transition is seamless, and you can hear the pump adjust its speed as it switches modes.

Premium Quality with Minor Details to Consider

Nothing is more important than a first impression, and the ETENWOLF S4 paddle board pump makes an excellent one. As soon as I received it, the sensation of quality was immediately noticeable. The packaging is really impressive and gives you confidence that you’re dealing with a well-designed, premium product. The pump itself is strong, well finished, and feels very durable. It runs smoothly and is surprisingly quiet, which makes the whole inflation process much more pleasant compared to other pumps I’ve used. That said, there are two small details worth mentioning. First, the power cable compartment does not have an opening that allows the cable to come out while the lid is closed. This means you either have to leave the lid open, risking damage, or close it while pressing the cable. Second, the power cord length (about 9 ft) may be a bit short if you’re powering it from a car’s center console. Despite these minor points, I still consider this a great product. The performance, build quality, and overall design clearly outweigh these small inconveniences. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I’ve had experience with ETENWOLF’s smaller air pumps, so I was really excited to see a larger pump marketed specifically for paddle boards. I love my paddle board, but it’s a major pain manually pumping it up during the last few PSI, and I haven’t had much luck with other electric pumps as they would take so long. First, the ETENWOLF S4 pump was much bigger than I thought. Still portable in a vehicle or wagon, but not something I would lug around in my backpack or hand-carry around on long walks. Anyways, it needs to run off a 12V DC outlet, so either your car or a strong portable battery with a DC outlet. This pump is useful in that you can set it to a desired PSI level and just let it do its thing. It comes with a variety of attachments, making it very functional and adaptable to multiple things. I find it of adequate length, but don’t expect it to stretch across a whole campground. It works in a timely manner, quicker than cheaper pumps and definitely quicker than manual. Noise isn’t much of an issue either. I love it, it definitely allows me to enjoy more time on the water and less sweating it out from pumping the SUP.

As this seems very handy to have this when camping or even just at home for an air mattress when you have company over, it does pose a few concerns or potential issues. I will say that it is powerful and nifty. I like that it has a built in storage compartment, although I do wish that it would’ve been designed better to include fitting all of the different nozzles for a more organized and efficient way to store it…without worrying about losing any. The cord that is stored in said compartment is not detachable either and is only compatible with a 12V outlet, that is great but can be unfortunate in certain circumstances and no backup way to power it, such as a rechargeable battery for instances. It does include everything pictured. The real time pressure display screen and auto shut off settings are pretty neat. This tool was made with durability but for a very targeted need. With the limited features being mainly nozzles for paddle boats and air mattresses, I find it strange that they didn’t also include a way to air up tires (at least smaller tires). Especially with it being on the bulky side in size, a little bigger than I was expecting. That might cause some challenges if you are limited on space.
Overall, it’s nice and if you are out on the lake a lot or go camping often and you could put this to use with these specific needs, I would say it would be a good candidate for the job. However, the price does seem to be a bit steep with the lack of diverse uses and solutions in my opinion. If this company would improve this product to fulfill those issues, I think it would not only be worth the price tag but also provide more functionality, efficiency, and convenience as a whole.

Good quality inflatables pump with comprehensive set of inflation/deflation connectors suitable for pretty much whatever type of board/raft/canoe/kayak/small boat that you might want to inflate. Plastics are good quality, controls are intuitive, and you can preset the psi you need and it will automatically stop when it reaches that desired pressure. And, of course, you can also deflate whatever you inflated, when needed. All in all a very functional little pump. I’m only going to give it 4 stars though, for the following reasons.
First it has no internal battery (unlike some competitors). Now if you’ve ever pumped your boat up, got it all prepared in the parking lot, locked your vehicle and ‘shoved’ off, you’ll note that the pressure in your boat will decrease quite a bit if the water is cold. Now what do you do? Well, that power cord isn’t going to reach back to your vehicle (heheh), sooo, you either pull out some OTHER pump to add pressure, or turn around and go back to try again. If you’re on a trip, if the weather changes? Again, you’re going to need another pump. In an inflatable, you can even encounter situations where the water temp can change suddenly due to an an intersecting stream or in my area, when they open the lakes generators, the incoming water is so cold you can watch the pressure loss in real time. Soo, I give this one it’s 4 stars for darned good utility and function, but leave off the 5th, as I much prefer, taking my preferred pump with it’s own internal battery, that not only solves my inflation adjustment issues, but doubles as a considerable power bank for charging cell phones etc. AND, I’ve even got a roll up solar panel that keeps the pumps battery charged as well :). Like most things, the one you want is the one that fits your needs. If this one does what you want, it’s a darned good pump:)
Recommended where appropriate.

The build quality feels robust and well-engineered. The pump itself is compact but has some heft to it, which gives me confidence it can handle regular use. The LCD screen is bright and easy to read even in direct sunlight, which is crucial when you’re inflating on a beach or lakeside. Setting the target pressure is intuitive with the plus and minus buttons, and I appreciate that it supports BAR, PSI, and KPA units. I typically set mine to 15 PSI for my paddle board, press start, and walk away to load other gear. The auto-off feature works perfectly. When the pump reaches the preset pressure, it shuts off automatically, so there’s no risk of overinflation or having to babysit the process. This has been a massive time saver and peace of mind feature.

GREAT FOR iSUPs!

This performed exceptionally well at inflating my iSUPs and it wasn’t as loud as the other one I have (though don’t get me wrong, they are all loud). I appreciate the compartment to store the power cord in but it does create a much bigger footprint. I wouldn’t mind the size so much if it could also air up tires and such thus eliminating the other pump I need. Deflation was super fast and convenient and the digital display great. I also appreciate the handle on it.

The noise level is moderate. It’s not whisper quiet by any means, and you definitely can’t have a conversation standing right next to it while it’s running, but it’s not offensively loud either. I’d compare it to a shop vacuum in terms of volume. On a busy beach or campground, it blends into the background noise without drawing too much attention. The LCD screen, while generally excellent, can be a bit difficult to read at certain angles, and I’ve noticed the display occasionally shows slight fluctuations in pressure readings as the pump works, though the final pressure always settles at the correct target.

I started using this electric pump when inflating our paddleboards before heading out to the lake and it makes the whole process so much easier compared to using a manual pump. It connects quickly to the board valve and does the work without much effort, which is great when you’re getting gear ready early in the morning. The pump builds pressure steadily and reaches the recommended PSI without struggling, and the automatic shutoff is helpful so you don’t have to constantly watch it. I tested it a few times during different outings and it has been consistent and reliable each time, saving a lot of time and effort before getting on the water. Overall it feels like a really practical tool that any paddleboard enthusiast would appreciate having in their gear setup.

The versatility with seven different nozzles is another strong point. I’ve used this pump for my paddle board, obviously, but also for air mattresses when camping, a small inflatable kayak, and even pool floats for the kids. Every nozzle has worked as intended, and the quick-connect system makes swapping between them easy. The deflation function is surprisingly powerful and fast. After a day on the water, I attach the deflation nozzle, and the pump sucks the air out of my board in less than two minutes. This makes packing up so much quicker than the old method of rolling and squeezing the board to force air out manually. The built-in cable storage compartment is a small but thoughtful design touch that keeps everything organized in my car trunk.
